Laa Wa

Laa Wa (no pronouns) from Germany. I was born Deaf to a multi-generational Deaf family and was given a pen, which began my art journey. My first language is German Sign Language (DGS), and art is my second language. Seeing hands to communicate in DGS has impacted me to paint hands that show how important it is to have a Deaf culture, and sign language should not be gone in the future. I also paint to express queer and daily experiences of audism.
